THE INTERVIEW

Roxy Marrone isn’t just building a brand- she’s sparked a multidimensional beauty conversation

It’s 2025 and we’re demanding more from wellness brands than ever before: community over sales-pushing, founder energy over marketing hype, and science-backed products that actually stand up to the test. We want branding that feels aspirational yet a little bit messy around the edges, just like us (read between the lines: relatable).

Enter Roxy Marrone and her mother Margo, the duo behind the lime green universe of eyeam. Everything about eyeam, from the products to the visuals, fizzes with eye-popping energy. Shopping the site feels less like a store and more like scrolling through a Face Magazine editorial.

It’s a refreshing zing of energy in the wellness space, and as the once-separate worlds of beauty and wellness become more entwined, eyeam is shaping the conversation. The line includes the Inflammaging Skin Solution, which treats acne inflammation while boosting collagen production, Hormone Check Drops, a digestible tincture for balancing female reproductive hormones, and Love Language Lip Bloss, a rose crystal gua sha applicator that plumps and lifts the lips. The hero product, Magnesium Glymphatic Sleepy Butter, supports the nervous system and the brain’s natural detox system, also known as the glymphatic system. In short, eyeam has created its own lane in solution-based wellness.

Roxy is also leading a youthquake-worthy community on her own social media, sharing biohacking tips and holistic wellness practices that inspire others to heal along the way. Here, Roxy expands on the world of eyeam and how we can use simple, accessible techniques to unlock vitality:

The world of eyeam aligns skincare with tips on hormones, gut and manifestation. Can you share how that philosophy shows up in the way you and your mother Margo formulate your products?

Roxy- Mum and I have always believed that beauty is a reflection of what’s going on inside – your skin mirrors what’s happening internally. When we formulate, we don’t just think “what does the skin need?”-  we ask, “what is the body communicating?” Each product is created with that conversation in mind. We blend ingredients that support the skin’s barrier with actives that nurture hormonal balance and gut harmony while solidifying the neuroplastic capabilities of the brain with affirmations to create faster and more permanent results. It’s about creating rituals that connect you back to yourself – not just routines that fix something on the surface.

eyeam combines topical solutions with internal supplements. How important is it for your customers to approach skin health both inside and out?

It’s essential. You can’t separate internal health from external radiance. If your gut is inflamed or your cortisol is spiking, no serum can fully compensate for that. That’s why every topical in our line has a companion internal- a supplement or practice- that supports the same outcome. It’s about coherence. When your mind, hormones, and skin are aligned, the results stay for good.

You’ve built an incredible community around eyeam- how has this taught you about what people really need in their wellbeing journey?

I love my community so much and I can’t believe I’m so lucky to have such beautiful souls in it What we’ve learned is that people don’t just need products- they need community. A community to heal with and lean on when you need that support. Our community reminds us daily that wellness isn’t linear or aesthetic- it’s emotional, spiritual, and deeply personal. The DMs, the stories, the transformations we see on a daily basis, the raw honesty. It’s shown us that people are craving belonging as much as they are results, and the two are intertwined.

Wellness entrepreneurship often requires both intuition and data. How do you balance listening to your gut versus relying on analytics in decision-making?

For me, intuition always comes first, one of the best traits women have- it’s the pulse of the brand. But intuition needs grounding, and that’s where data comes in. We’ll feel into an idea- a new product, campaign, or ingredient- and then we’ll validate it with analytics, feedback, or science and always follow the path with data so we don’t waste time. It’s feminine energy meets masculine structure.

How do you see eyeam representing a cultural moment for this generation?

I think eyeam reflects a shift, with us being the first in the Neuro-cosmetic space there will be many people stepping into that- people are done with perfectionism and quick fixes. There’s a collective craving for authenticity and wholeness. Our generation is realizing that health isn’t about restriction or performance; it’s about integration and true healing. eyeam stands for that- for rituals that honour both the science and the soul of wellbeing.

In your work, you talked about balance over restriction. How do you personally navigate indulgence without slipping into old patterns of “all or nothing” wellness culture?

I remind myself that balance + productivity is a frequency, not a finish line. Some days I’m grounded and squatting 60kgs, other days I’m curled into a ball on the sofa and prioritising rest- and both are productive medicine in their own way. I used to chase control, but now I chase alignment. If a choice comes from love instead of guilt, it’s balanced.

You blend ancient practices like grounding and affirmations with modern biohacking techniques. How do these approaches complement each other?

They’re really two sides of the same coin. Ancient wisdom teaches, especially from the Bible, tells us how to be, while biohacking teaches us how to optimise. When you merge the two –  breathwork with red light, or affirmations with cold plunging- you’re regulating your nervous system and your cells simultaneously. It’s spirituality made tangible.

Biohacking can sometimes feel intimidating or extreme. What are some entry-level biohacks you swear by that are accessible for someone just starting out?

Totally- biohacking doesn’t have to be expensive or high-tech. Start with light, breath, and hydration.

Get morning sunlight on your eyes before screens.

Practice nasal breathing to regulate your nervous system.

Add celtic salt to your water

Walk barefoot on grass

Say affirmations in the mirror – I do it using eyeam products and the habit has become to automatic i can’t not do it while i use the products, one of the contributors to why people get great results with us. These are foundational biohacks- nature’s version of optimisation.

If you could predict the next wave of biohacks the new generation will embrace, what do you think it will be, and why?

I think the next wave will be emotional biohacking. We’ve optimised our bodies, now we’re learning to optimise our emotions- through nervous system work, somatic healing, and frequency-based tools. The future of wellness will blend neuroscience with energy medicine in a way that feels very human – and what eyeam stands to start in the wellness space.

If you had to strip your healing toolbox to three non-negotiables that keep you grounded day-to-day, what would they be?

The eyeam healing toolbox:

Minimise stress + regulate my nervous system daily.

Use appropriate supplementation internally and topically, no overdoing it! I really am very basic 3 products in the morning, three at night – 3 supplements: magnesium ( our transdermal range), hormone + live support (hormone check drops) and probiotics (i use Symprove – ROXY50 for my code)

Eat an anti-inflammatory diet (without restriction). – different for everyone, but if you sign up to my newsletter, I have a free recipe e-book with lots of recipes and plans.

What advice would you give to new wellness entrepreneurs who want to create a brand that is purpose-driven, scientifically credible, and commercially successful?

Start with your “why” and let it guide everything. Build community before you build a product — that trust is your foundation. Invest in education and science (ideally, get the expertise yourself to lower costs), but never lose your intuition. And remember, success in wellness is not about selling transformation; it’s about creating tools that help people come home to themselves. The money is just a bonus.
