THE RITUAL REPORT
Lymphatic Drainage is having a Fashion Moment
Completedworks staged Good Food, Good Friends, a televised dinner party sketch at Nobu Hotel London for their AW26 London Fashion Week show. Whilst the jewellery brand showcased chic wearable pieces, homeware and an Asics trainer collaboration for the season ahead, the other illumination taking centre stage was medical-grade skin radiance. The spotlight was firmly on cast lead Jemima Kirke and co-star Camille Charrière, whose accompanying glowy complexions were courtesy of 111SKIN’s curated skintech.
111SKIN was founded by Eva Alexandrides and her husband Dr. Yannis Alexandrides, a world-renowned Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, in a bid to offer more science-backed products into the cosmetic technology industry that actually work. They’ve carved a name creating beauty solutions for a wide variety of skin types and offering a diverse range of advanced offerings for skin health and radiance- from their signature Black Diamond face masks to cryotherapy at their 111CRYO clinic in Harvey Nichols.
A natural approach led the charge with 111SKIN’s curated package for the Completedworks cast of models backstage, carried out with their uniquely formulated products; tailored facials for a dewy glow, toning and priming, massaging targeted areas using the cooling wand applicator to help plump and smooth, nourishing the complexion, enhancing the luminosity on high points of the skin, and finally a day cream to add a hydrating finish to the skin ready for makeup prep. 111SKIN’s head of aesthetics even performed a light lymphatic massage to gently stimulate circulation, reduce puffiness and encourage detoxification (at one point, Jemima steps onto a vibration plate as part of the play, which adds further comment to lymphatic drainage’s position in pop culture right now).
To finish, a selected face and eye mask were tailored to the model’s individual skin type. A particularly popular backstage combination was the Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask to amp up the glow. Beneath, the Cryo De-Puffing Eye Masks – a model go-to – worked their magic to wipe away dark circles and puffiness from last night’s fashion week fun.
It’s no surprise to see a beauty brand with next generation actives being adopted by fashion circles. As the drive for science-backed, hyper-personal skincare increases, the makeup industry is becoming noticeably more symbiotic with the health and wellness sector. 111SKIN offers a unique approach to skincare, focusing on health and skin appearance under equal importance.
