FREQUENCY SHIFTERS
Blocking, Harmonising and Neutralising- how to handle EMF
The modern world is fully plugged-in. Home and work environments are packed with electrical devices, phones, screens, Wifi, Bluetooth and power lines. Living with these items around means the body is exposed to frequencies called EMF (electromagnetic field) on a regular basis. EMF is a physical field that resonates across the solar system, and therefore everyone is exposed to this form of energy and it ranges from low frequencies (like electric power, microwaves, washing machines) to higher frequencies (x-rays, UV radiation from tanning beds). Even induction cooktops contain EMFs.
There’s a degree of public concern that exposure to this energy could be harming people’s health, especially from devices used on a regular basis. Yet despite years of research, scientists still can’t agree on how dangerous EMFs really are- or if they’re dangerous at all. In 2014, WHO acknowledged the growing public concern about mobile phone use but emphasised that “To date, no adverse health effects have been established as being caused by mobile phone use or exposure to wireless networks.” However- somewhat conflictingly- in the same report, they recommend precautionary measures (like using hands-free devices) to reduce exposure where feasible.
While the science around EMFs remains unsettled, some may choose to take matters into their own hands. Whether out of precaution, personal experience, or simple curiosity, many are turning to EMF-blocking, neutralising and harmonising products as a way to limit their exposure. Here’s a look at some of the products currently on the market, offering a glimpse at what’s available for those exploring ways to reduce EMF exposure in everyday life.
